Gus Gus is a 2-year-old male Boxer. His
fosterer writes: He is generally quiet, although likes to bark when people come in the house, so will be a good little guarder of ‘his’ family. Gus is not well socialised with other dogs it seems. He showed interest in the neighbour's cats, although not in a nasty way. Once he knows you Gus will greet you with much fuss and wagging of tail and general happiness; he is a very happy boy and seems to love life and attention. I think Gus needs a home where someone is around for much of the time. Gus doesn't seem destructive; all the shoes are still intact after he shared the hall with them overnight. He will happily get comfy on your best chair if not watched, but knows when you say no that he shouldn’t be
there. Gus will stay out of the rooms he’s been told not to go in if he tries to follow you and you remind him with a no and stay. He is totally obsessed with playing with a ball, is not interested in food or treats very much, though he seems to like the puppy marrowbone treats and Wellbeloved charcoal biscuit treats, but turns his nose up at others. Gus knows sit, stay, and can shake paws and give a high five, but is rather stubborn (what one would expect with a young Boxer!) and will take some encouraging to sit on command most of the time, unless you have that ball. Gus likes wet food, Butchers being the one of choice, will eat small amount of mixer if well coated in the meat first. Gus
would be fine with older children, his bouncy nature would probably overwhelm smaller children. If you are interested in giving
Gus a
new home Please read this before emailing
