Max Max is a neutered, male, Jack Russell Terrier, approximately 6 months of age. His coat is long haired and is mainly white with some tan markings. Max is very keen to learn, enthusiastic and not at all afraid of new experiences. He is exercised on the lead and is good with other dogs and has a very happy disposition. Like all young Terriers, an experienced owner without children or cats would be ideal for Max. At present, Max is living with his fosterer's two greyhounds and completely ignores their size and speed and it is felt that Max would do very well living with another dog or dogs. He is house trained and crate trained and does not show any signs of territorial barking, which can be a typical terrier trait, he can also be left for short periods of time without showing any separation barking. Max will need to be treated like a dog and not a ‘lap-dog’ as this will also help Max to learn self discipline, he also enjoys rules and routines as he is too young to have too many responsibilities. Max can be a little protective of items in his crate, but is fine when he is out of his crate. He a super little fellow and with the right owner will grow into a fantastic dog. His
fosterer, a behaviourist says: In my opinion there is nothing wrong with Max, apart from the psychological attachment and frustration problems which he will grow out of in time and within a secure environment. Max really is an emotional little dog- and I hope this is something he will learn to live with. He has never shown aggression to me, he has growled on a few occasions but nothing out of the ordinary, I suppose it depends on how experienced a dog owner you are. He did recall to me in the garden and I think that he will have a good recall when he is in his new home. If you are interested
in giving Max a new home
