Molly and Maisie are 10-12 week old Bichon pups.
They have come into us as both have problems with their back legs. We do not yet know what can be done to help these little girls, but we will do everything we can for them.
They have limited movement and are not very stong.
Obviously they will need to see a specialist to see what can be done for them. We will update as soon as we have further information.
Update: 8 December 2011
Molly and Maisie have both been back to the vets today. Molly was due to have X rays to see the extent of the problem with her legs.
Unfortunately both girls have Kennel Cough so we are unable to take the X rays.
We will have to postpone any treatment until after the New Year.
Both the girls are doing well in foster and have come on in leaps and bounds. I am sure that this won't hold them back for long.
Update: 10 February 2011
Molly and Maisie are doing really well and have grown in confidence ten fold since their arrival at Pro Dogs.
Molly has recovered well from her amputation and has not looked back since. Maisie is also doing well but sadly as both her legs are affected, amputation is not an option. She copes well and loves to run around in the garden, just for shorter periods than a normal pup.
They have been lucky enough to have found a home together. Molly and Maisie will be going to their new home shortly.
We will update as soon as they do.
Pro Dogs would like to thank everyone for their donations towards Molly and Maisie's treatment. Our greatest thanks goes to
http://www.bichonfriends.co.uk/ They have paid a huge amount towards Molly's vet bills and we are very grateful to them for their help.
