Pippa

(Pippa is under medical assessment but advance applications of interest are invited for those wishing further information about her, when available).

Pippa is a 7 year old ex breeding Cocker Spaniel. She is a really sweet girl who deserves a great home.

Pippa walks well with a harness and has travelled well in the car.

She will need another resident dog to show her about life as a pet.

Pippa has never been around children so we would like a home without any for her. She will also need new owners who are around for most of the day.

Pippa will be vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered prior to rehoming.

Pippa is in foster in Charlton, London.

Update: 5-Feb-12

Pippa has settled into living in a house like a duck to water! She is housetrained and sleeps quietly in a crate overnight.

She is a sweet dog who loves people and has settled well with my little Shih Tzu. She is not interested in the cats or the rabbits and is happy to share the settee with Nell & one of the cats but she does like to be the one closest to you!

She has met children but would appreciate a quiet life now so any children would need to be older - she would be fine with visiting children of any age though.

We have been assessing her medical conditions and we know that she has a grade 3 heart murmur but she is not on any medication at the moment as it does not seem to be causing her any problem at this time, but it may do in the future. She also has chronic ear problems and will need to have them cleaned regularly and will need drops put in on occasions; she may need an operation at some stage but this is not necessary just now. She also has mobility problems with her hind legs and we are trying her on Metacam, Seraquin & Green Lipped Mussel tablets. She does seem more comfortable now, but she also has excercises to do every day and may have a few acupuncture sessions to see if they would help her too.

Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Pippa will get the most wonderful friend but will need to be able to continue with the medical treatment that she will require - these conditions will not be covered by pet insurance.
