Robin

Robin who is approximately 6 months old (as at 20/5/09) is a Lurcher puppy.

He is smooth coated, black with white paws, chest and tail tip.

Robin is lively (in spurts), fun, cute, cheeky, cuddly and mischievous like all pups are, but this one is extra special.

The week before Christmas 2008, he and his sister were handed in, in a very poorly state, to a local vet.

Sadly his sister didn’t survive but Robin did and we were asked to take him.

He was very poorly but slowly improved and enjoyed his first Christmas with us.

Robin has had some problems with his stools which have been investigated. We hope it is something he may grow out of but he will most likely always need a careful diet as most likely cause is food intolerance. This has much improved and he is having James Wellbeloved junior food which seems to suit his tum.

Robin, who is now housetrained, has grown from a 1.3 kg scrap to a bouncy 20 kg pup. He is 21 inches to the shoulder.

Ideally we need a home with someone home most of the day, though he can be left with the company of another dog for 2/3 hours.

Robin has learnt to sit, lay down and has begun to learn to walk nicely on his lead. He does need further socializing with other dogs, so would benefit from training classes.

Robin will not be rehomed with children under 10 years as we cannot risk him getting hold of foods he shouldn’t !!

It will be best he doesn’t live with cats or small furries either.

Robin does live with other dogs and we will be looking for a home with an older female doggy companion, if possible. He has a very strong bond with Molly the boxer, our long term foster/sponsor dog.

Robin has now been neutered, fully vaccinated, worm and flea treated and microchipped.

We hope you will keep his foster family regularly supplied with photos and up dates as it will be heartbreaking to let him go, but he deserves more that we can offer.
