It is with great sadness we are sorry to have to say Skye didnt make it to her new home. After two weeks in foster, loving life and enjoying her walks, her new home ready to take her and Skye suddenly became unwell.

She didnt want to eat or walk and lost weight over a couple of days, we took her to the vets where the prognosis was terribly sad. Skye had lymphoma and had now started to suffer. All we could do was ensure she suffered no longer.

Her foster ensured she knew she was loved and she had some wonderful walks and lots of fun. We cannot thank our fosters who go above and beyond for our dogs and do all they can to ensure they are happy no matter how short or long their time with them is. Sometimes all we can take comfort from is knowing that she wasnt in kennels and alone as her time came. She was warm, safe and loved by all.

Run Free Skye - our time with you was short but we loved you very much.

Skye is a really adorable girl who is sadly looking for a new home due to the illness of her previous owner. She has been a much loved little lady and is a really sweet little girl. She will make a wonderful companion for an active older person.
Although 12 years old Skye still enjoys her walk, not miles obviously but a good potter and sniff around. She is also very good with other dogs and still likes to play!
She would like new owners who are around for most of the day and would be fine either as an only dog or with another dog, Skye is fine with cats and takes absolutely no notice of them at all. Skye does have dry eye and is having lubrication applied during the day to ensure her eyes are lubricated and comfortable for her. It is imperative that this is continued to ensure her eyes remain as healthy as possible. She has some itchy patches on her skin so is currently having a supplement added to her food which is helping greatly, this is inexpensive and all details will be passed to serious applicants.

It is sad that she is looking for a new home when Skye should be enjoying her retirement being loved and looked after. She may be an older lady but she is adorable and will make someone very happy hopefully for many years to come.

Skye has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. She is currently on foster in Blackheath SE3.
